As the automotive industry continues to grow and evolve, the technology used to manufacture busbars for electric cars is also evolving to meet the increasing demands.

 

transfluid has developed a bending robot specifically for the requirements in the production of busbars, which can process busbars with a cross-section of up to 60 mm² and a stretched length of up to 3,000 mm.

BENDING OF BUSBARS

The bending machines from transfluid are known for their performance in bending tubes, but can also be used to bend geometries made of solid material, such as wires and materials with a rectangular cross-section.

 

The „Energiewende“, Germany's transition to a low-carbon, nuclear-free economy, means an increase in the production of busbars and conductor rails. Current output is growing and new areas of application are being added almost daily. transfluid offers its customers its many years of experience in this area and the resulting development work flows into new projects.

BENDING OF SOLID MATERIAL - ROUND, SQUARE, RECTANGULAR

Solid semi-finished products such as round copper rods or square cross-sections can be bent excellently with the transfluid bending machine.

With the in-house software, which is optimized for round and rectangular materials, precise bending results can be achieved with economical cycle times.

BUSBAR CUTTER

An optimal, contact-optimized separating surface is also important for busbars. Here, transfluid offers a fast, efficient cutting system that is fed from the coil. Busbars of different lengths can be cut and then sorted out.

Thanks to the high cycle rate, the blanks can be pre-produced for the subsequent process or fed directly to the bending machine via handling systems.

The perfect bending software

Twist

As the pressure die can be opened wide, the offset bending device can move straight behind the bending tool. In this way, copper bars, for example, can be twisted by up to 180°.
