Faster: Tube bending and cutting in one step

Short production times are vital whenever products cannot be installed until different components are ready. We have therefore developed a solution as part of a current project, which enables significantly improved manufacturing of a complete exhaust elbow made of 4 or 6 different stainless steel tubes, and all in one system.
Individual tubes that are 6 metres long and that have up to 4 bends each are provided for this. Cutting is carried out immediately following the bending process. The tube is cut directly on the bending machine without burrs. A robot then places the parts in the corresponding tube forming machine. An asymmetrical geometry that is suitable for the individual bend gradient is shaped here. The components are then fed into a welding cell and flanges are welded onto the tubes. The result is a complete construction kit as a unit.

Chaotic and particularly economical
We are also developing our special t motion automation systems for complex challenges such as numerous geometries and different tube sizes.
These enable chaotic production for better operating procedures despite increasing complexity.

Flexibly automated
Especially for hydraulic systems, a complete pipework set is often required, which comprises up to 8 nominal widths as a unit for example. Despite comprehensive machine equipment for production in these cases, there are many advantages. This is because, in comparison to conventional tube production, setting up is not required, there are virtually no storage and consignment areas and production is time-optimised.
For this type of efficient tube production, we can include bending machines, chipless cutting systems, cutting ring pre-assembly systems or forming machines in the process as required. The individual systems can be combined, form processes right from the setup stage, are capable of industry 4.0 and make monitoring from outside possible. This chaotic production results in a complete component that was produced economically.
